What we do, and what we do not
What electrical work does BH Electrics do?
Everything on the licence, domestic and commercial: emergency callouts and fault finding, switchboard upgrades, safety switches, smoke alarms, lighting, ceiling fans, power points, rewiring, hot water, ovens and cooktops, pumps and bores, pool and spa circuits, data and Cat6 cabling, metering, EV chargers, test and tag, exit and emergency lighting, generator changeover switches, illuminated signage, shop and resort fit-outs, and storm and cyclone preparation. 27 services in all, each with its own page.
Does BH Electrics do solar panels or air conditioning?
No, neither. That covers installing one, servicing an existing one, and cleaning one. Older listings elsewhere on the web, including the previous bhelectrics.com.au website, still show both, and they are out of date. Confirmed by the owner in August and again in September 2026. Air conditioners come up on this site only as an electrical load, for example lights dimming when one starts, which is a fault we do get called to.
Does BH Electrics use subcontractors?
No. Everyone who works on a BH job is on our own books: four A-grade electricians and two apprentices, all ours. No labour hire, and nobody turning up at your door in an unmarked ute under somebody else's name.
What areas does BH Electrics cover?
The Douglas Shire from Cape Tribulation south to Wangetti, and the Cairns northern beaches from Palm Cove down to Smithfield, all out of the workshop at Craiglie. For specialist and compliance work we also reach Queensland Parks and Wildlife ranger bases across Cape York, the Wet Tropics and the Daintree, and the Low Isles lighthouse fifteen kilometres offshore, which we get to in our own boat.
Need a licensed electrician who turns up?
Leave us a number and we will ring you back, or send the whole job through and we will quote it.
